A short version of the instructions that you can have on hand during assembly.
Choosing the installation method
At PVC PRO we use two basic installation variants:
FRONT INSTALLATION
– on the wall, in front of the opening
This is the most frequently chosen option. The comb strip with strips is mounted on the wall. outside the hole, This allows the curtain to completely cover the opening. This option provides the best insulation and is the easiest to install. It works especially well where there are no restrictions on the sides or above the opening.
INSTALLATION UNDER THE LINTEL
– inside the opening or to the ceiling
In this variant the curtain is mounted inside the hole, to the top edge of the lintel. This is a good solution when there is no space for front installation (e.g., due to door guides or lack of space on the sides). The curtain mounted this way blends more seamlessly into the structure of the building – however, it's worth remembering that the clearance may be slightly smaller in this arrangement.

Assembly – step by step
Before you get started, you can watch our short instructional video, which shows the entire process step by step. If you prefer a text-based version, the full instructions are located just below the video. Choose the format that's most convenient for you.
Mark the mounting points and prepare the holes
Using a spirit level, position the comb strip and mark the screw or plug locations. Then, drill mounting holes in the wall or lintel, depending on your chosen mounting method.
Measure the mounting location of the comb strip
- If you are installing a curtain inside the hole, you don't have to measure anything - the strip and strips have been cut exactly to the dimensions you specified in your order.
- However, if you chose wall mounting, front, remember that the curtain is configured with extra width on the sides – this is to ensure the strips overlap the wall and seal the entire opening properly. In this case, measure the exact length of the strip and then center it in relation to the opening.
Attach the comb strip/hanger
Attach the strip to the ground using appropriate plugs or screws. Make sure the strip is secure and level – this will form the basis for hanging the strips later.
Hang the PVC strips with the appropriate overlap
All belts come to you already pre-assembled – they have prepared mounting holes („eyelets”), the number of which depends on the belt width:
- 200 mm strips – 5 eyelets,
- 300 mm strips – 7 eyelets,
- 400 mm strips – 9 eyelets.
Hang first first, inner row of stripes – spacing them evenly along the strip, but leaving spaces between them for the next row. Remember that each subsequent strip should overlap the adjacent strips from the previous row by one stitch on the left and right sides – this creates a tight seal that prevents drafts and temperature loss.
Hang the second row of belts between the belts from the first row – so that overlapped in the eyelet-belt-eyelet system.
Adjust the length – without touching the floor
Finally, make sure the lower ends of the straps are approx. 1–2 cm above the floor – they shouldn't lean on it or drag on it. If everything looks even and stable, you're done!
