Installing strip curtains is easier than you think
Installing PVC PRO strip curtains is quick and does not require specialized tools. Thanks to the thoughtful design of our products, most customers can install it themselves. Below are step-by-step instructions.
What will you find in the package?
We will usually deliver your order to you within 48 hours. All kits are packaged so they’re ready to install right out of the box—no cutting, drilling, or assembly required.
In the package you will find:
Covered PVC belts of appropriate length,
Comb strip in a matching size,
Set of mounting fittings (plates, rivets),
Sales document – receipt or VAT invoice,
A short version of the instructions that you can have at hand during installation.

Choosing the installation method
At the order stage, you have already chosen how the curtain should be installed. Which means the set that came to you was properly prepared.
At PVC PRO, we use two basic installation variants:
FRONT MOUNTING
– on the wall, in front of the hole
This is the most frequently chosen option. A comb strip with straps is mounted on the wall outside the hole, which allows the curtain to completely cover the opening. This variant provides the best insulation and is the easiest to attach. It is especially effective where there are no restrictions on the sides and above the hole.
INSTALLATION UNDER THE LINTEL
– inside the hole or to the ceiling
In this variant, the curtain is installed inside the hole, to the top of the lintel. This is a good solution when there is no space for installation at the front (e.g. due to gate guides or lack of space on the sides). A curtain mounted this way blends more seamlessly into the structure of the building. However, it’s worth remembering that this arrangement may result in a slightly smaller clearance.

Installation – step by step

Mark the installation points and prepare the holes
Using a spirit level, position the comb strip and mark the screw or plug locations. Then, drill mounting holes in the wall or lintel, depending on your chosen mounting method.
Measure the installation location of the comb strip
- If you are installing a curtain inside hole, you don’t need to measure anything – the strip and strips have been cut exactly to the dimensions you specified in your order.
- However, if you’ve chosen to mount it on the wall from the front , remember that the curtain is configured with extra width on the sides to ensure the strips overlap the wall and seal the entire opening. In this case, measure the exact length of the strip and then center it in thehole.
Attach comb strip/hanger
Attach the strip to the ground using appropriate plugs or screws. Make sure the strip is secure and level – this will form the basis for hanging the strips later.
Hang PVC belts with the appropriate overlap
All belts come to you already pre-assembled – they have prepared mounting holes (“eyelets”), the number of which depends on the belt width:
- 200 mm strips – 5 eyelets,
- 300 mm strips – 7 eyelets,
- 400 mm strips – 9 eyelets.
First, hang the first, inner row of strips – spacing them evenly along the strip, but leaving space between them for the next row. Remember, each subsequent strip should overlap the adjacent strips from the previous row by one eyelet on both the left and right sides – this creates a tight overlap that prevents drafts and heat loss.
Hang the second row of strips between the strips from the first row – so that they overlap in the eyelet-strip-eyelet overlap system.
Adjust the length without touching the floor
Finally, make sure the lower ends of the strips are about 1-2 cm above the floor – they shouldn’t rest on it or drag. If everything looks even and stable, you’re done!
